The Wuchang Station designed by SIYUAN came into operation on December 18, 2007. The station building has a total floor area of 57,000 square meters, with a max. number of assembling passengers of 8,000; and the platform canopy covers an area of 63,240 square meters. It’s a typical representative and excellent showcase of the third-generation railway passenger stations in China.

In 2009, it has been honored with the Architectural Creation Award for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China by the Architectural Society of China.
